Insurance
Insurance is our largest area of work. We build and run a platform that handles the day-to-day of an insurance business, along with the bespoke tools, reports and integrations that sit around it.
One system for underwriting, policy administration and claims, with every product custom built. Proposal forms, pricing, documents and workflow are designed around how each underwriter writes that business, with online quoting and portals for brokers and clients.
Lloyd's bordereaux produced from the data you already hold, on schedule. Bespoke reports for underwriters, management and capacity providers, shaped around the questions you actually ask.
Connections to accounting platforms and back-office systems. Invoices can be reconciled automatically when they are paid, and bills are reconciled with credits applied automatically, so settlements to capacity providers happen without manual matching.
Consumer-facing insurance websites with online quoting and purchase. Customers get a price and buy cover online, and each policy flows straight into our insurance platform, with the same underwriting, claims, reporting and bordereaux as the rest of your business.
A bespoke tool for brokers to set budgets, forecast, and track revenue and earnings against them. It is fed by automated imports from the broker's back-office system, so the numbers stay current.
Third party data such as property risk, vehicle details and crime statistics, brought into your systems to help underwriters and brokers assess and manage risk. We also connect to claims administrators and back-office broking systems, and turn third party data into Lloyd's compliant bordereaux.
Universities
Universities are where we started, and we still build and run systems for them today. Each one is designed around the staff who run the programme and the students who use it.
A platform for any university support unit running tutoring or student support: enrolments and surveys, tutor applications and contracts, matching students with tutors, session booking, case notes and reporting.
Residential contracts that students read and sign online. Short videos and on the spot questions along the way help students understand each part of the contract before they agree to it, and a signed copy goes to the student and the college automatically.
Online learning and assessment platforms for students and classrooms, including one that teaches programming visually and grades each attempt automatically.
Managed servers
We provide managed hosting, log monitoring and security for the systems we build, and for servers you already have.
Dedicated servers or cloud hosting, set up, patched and maintained for you. Each account is kept separate, and resources are watched so problems are caught before your users notice.
Our own log management software collects server and application logs, puts them into one consistent format and delivers them to your monitoring or security platform, so issues are spotted early.
Hardened servers, firewalls, scanning of uploaded files and regular off-site backups of code and databases, with 24/7 support for the systems we run.

About
Eigenstate is an Australian software company. For more than a decade we have designed, built, hosted and supported software for businesses. We started out building management systems for universities and have since branched out into insurance, compliance and managed hosting.
Our backgrounds are in Mathematics, Physics and Computing. Our name comes from physics, and it suits the way we work: understand a complex system by breaking it into its components.
We often build systems from the ground up, but we are just as happy picking up an existing one, working out what it does, and making it reliable again.
